Transportation

Within the last year, We Care has provided over 80,000 rides to Morton and rural Tazewell County residents and about 12,000 rides to Woodford County residents. Transportation is available to the General Public including senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Our service area includes Morton, Rural Tazewell County and Woodford County. Transportation is available for medical appointments, employment, grocery shopping, and hospital or nursing home visits. Our buses are wheelchair accessible.

This program began in 1976, following the same principle that the parents now needed a reliable means of transportation to doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, etc. The transportation program started with two station wagons and has grown into a fleet of 30 vehicles used in Rural Tazewell County, Woodford County, and Morton.
